Matilda Country Magazine is an annual publication showcasing the landscapes, stories and attractions of Outback Queensland. The project involved developing engaging cover designs and editorial advertising that capture the region’s character while remaining clear, structured and print-ready.

Working across multiple contributors and stakeholders, the design system needed to balance visual appeal with consistency - ensuring each advertisement aligned with the publication while allowing for varied content and messaging.

A key component of the project was the creation of a custom illustrated map, designed to guide readers through the region while reinforcing the magazine’s visual identity. This, alongside the cover and advertising layouts, contributed to a cohesive and accessible publication that supports both tourism promotion and local business visibility.
