OVERVIEW

Designed a 24-page annual report for the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, focused on presenting organisational information in a clear, structured and engaging format. The project explored how a cohesive visual approach could support the organisation’s vision of a thriving, sustainable environment while maintaining readability across long-form content.

DESIGN APPROACH

Developed a visual approach that reflects the organisation’s connection to nature while supporting clarity and consistency throughout the publication.

  • Established a clear typographic hierarchy to improve readability and navigation across dense content

  • Structured layouts to allow users to easily scan and locate key information

  • Applied a restrained, nature-inspired visual language to align with the organisation’s identity

  • Balanced imagery and text to enhance engagement without compromising legibility.

VISUAL APPROACH

​The visual system draws on natural textures, organic forms and close-up botanical imagery to create a cohesive and immersive aesthetic.

  • Combined layered paper textures with detailed imagery of flora and natural elements

  • Incorporated hand-drawn elements to add depth and visual interest

  • Used a consistent layout structure to maintain clarity across all pages
